Summer holiday at the Øresund Aquarium

ACTIVITIES

Summer is here, and we have arranged exciting activities for the entire family, both on land and at sea. Join us for crab fishing on the harbour piers, shrimp fishing in Kronborg Bay, or help catch crabs and feed the fish in our Water Laboratory. You can visit the aquarium exhibition and learn a lot about the unique animal and plant life of the Øresund when we feed the animals in selected aquariums every hour. You can also have the experience of a lifetime on one of our sea safaris on the Øresund.

Feeding the fish in the aquarium

Every hour, you can watch the fish being fed in selected aquariums. The aquarium's guides will share fun and exciting facts about fish and other sea creatures from the Øresund.

The first feeding starts at 11 a.m. at our three-step touch pool. Here, you can help feed the crabs, flatfish and other exciting sea creatures.

Crab fishing on the outer pier

Join us for crab fishing every day from 21 June to 31 August, when we grab the crab pots and head out to one of the harbour's outer piers to catch beach crabs.

This tour starts at 11:15 a.m. and takes about 45 minutes. The tour starts at the aquarium's main entrance, where we will all walk together to the outer piers. This activity is included in the admission price for aquarium guests.

Shrimp fishing on Kronborg Beach

Every day from 21 June to 31 August, at 1:15 p.m., you can join guides from the Øresund Aquarium on a shrimp fishing trip on Kronborg Beach. With shrimp nets in hand, we will walk together to Kronborg Beach, where we will fish for shrimp and other small creatures at the water's edge and observe the wildlife in the shallow water.

The activity takes place with your feet in the water, so bring your swimwear, bathing shoes, towel or other necessary items. The trip takes approx. 45 minutes and is included in the admission price for aquarium guests.

Guided tours to the Water Laboratory

From 21 June to 31 August, we will be exploring the Water Laboratory and feeding the animals. You can take part in guided tours, where guides will tell you about the unique wildlife of the Øresund, feed the fish and help catch beach crabs.

The activity takes place three times a day at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. We will walk together from the aquarium's main entrance down to the Water Laboratory, where you will have the opportunity to borrow equipment for catching crabs. You can also try one of our water binoculars and take a closer look at the exciting wildlife hidden beneath the surface.

Aquarium guests have priority when it comes to borrowing and using equipment, but the activity is open to all visitors to Helsingør Nordhavn and does not require an admission ticket.

The Water Laboratory is open 24 hours a day, so feel free to bring your own equipment for catching crabs and visit the Water Laboratory whenever it suits you.
