Christmas at the Øresund Aquarium
It's Christmas again, and we've got loads of fun stuff planned for the whole family between Christmas and New Year's. Feel the Christmas spirit at the aquarium, help feed the fish, find the Øresund elves in the aquariums, take an Øresund quiz, and go behind the scenes to touch live sea creatures or visit our creative room and let your creativity run wild.
Meet the Øresund elves throughout December
The Øresund elves visit the Øresund Aquarium during Christmas. Can you find the mischievous sea elves?
The elves spend their Christmas holidays brushing the sea cat's teeth, keeping the herring beautiful and shiny, and generally making sure that the aquarium's fish and animals are in top shape for Christmas Eve.
Øresund elves are sea elves, i.e. elves that live in the sea all over the world. The sea elves in Øresund were born and raised in Øresund. That is why they are commonly referred to as the Øresund elves. They prefer not to leave the sound, as they help the fish and animals with many things. But at Christmas, you can meet them at the Øresund Aquarium. See if you can find the elves and their elf house at the aquarium.
Feeding the fish in the aquarium
Every hour, you can watch the fish being fed in selected aquariums. Here, the aquarium's guides will tell fun stories and exciting facts about the animals. The first feeding starts at 11 a.m. at our three-step touch pool, where you can help feed the fish yourself.
The activity takes place at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Touch live sea creatures
Every day, the aquarium guides take you ‘behind the scenes’ to the wet table, where you can see and touch lots of exciting and different sea creatures. You will also hear interesting stories and facts about the animals.

There are limited places, so remember to sign up on the registration list at the ticket office if you want to join.
Be creative in the Creative Corner ('Kreatoriet')
During Christmas, you can be creative in our Creative Corner and draw and colour your own sea creatures. The Creative Corner is open to aquarium visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day.

Entrance: 80 DKK for adults. 60 DKK for children under 12. Children 0-2 years: free - Weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Entrance: 90 DKK for adults. 70 DKK for children under 12. Children 0-2 years: free - During the Christmas holidays (26–30 December), we are open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- We are closed on 24–25 December, 31 December and 1 January.
