The tanks
The Øresund Aquarium has three types of tanks: touch tanks, biotope tanks and themed tanks.
In the touch tanks, children and those young at heart have the opportunity to touch beach crabs, mussels, starfish and flatfish.
The biotope tanks invite you down into the sea to experience some of the many different habitats found in the strait of Øresund (the Sound). Experience the sea creatures in almost natural surroundings and the amazing and colourful world of our own local waters.
The themed tanks feature marine animals that are smaller than you would normally find in larger Aquariums. Some ongoing changes are made to exhibit to demonstrate interesting aspects of the life cycle of sea creatures during specific seasons.
